Há
uma semana meus amigos e eu fomos assistir o filme “The Raven”, um
filme de suspense que conta a historia de um escritor e poeta
norte-americano Edgar Allan Poe. A trama gira em torno de uma serie de
assassinatos que são semelhantes aos
poemas de Edgar, sendo ele o único que pode ajudar a policia a desvendar
tais brutalidades, acaba entrando no universo que ele mesmo criou. O
desenrolar da história se da no caminhar das descobertas, com o
sequestro de sua noiva Emily, Edgar tem que correr contra o tempo para
solucionar os caso e descobrir quem é que está por trás de tantas
atrocidades.
Edgar é interpretado por John Cusack, por isso não há muito o que se esperar sobre a atuação; como já acompanhamos em outros trabalhos do ator o que realmente nos interessa é a situação que o personagem se encontra. Já a interessante e intrigante noiva de Edgar, Emily interpretada por Alice Eve, nos dá um motivo para acompanhar o filme até o final, a partir de seu sequestro é que o filme toma um formato diferente porém igual a qualquer outro que traz a mesma temática suspense e investigação; vemos pouco a sua interpretação porém suas cenas são de grande importância para a compreensão dos ocorridos no filme.
Sem mais delongas “The Raven” não pode e não deve ser confundido com o filme “ The Crow”, são temáticas diferentes. “The Raven” é um filme comum para todos os seguidores de filme de suspense; quem já acompanha vários filmes de suspense e investigação vão se decepcionar com o filme, tendo uma história comum comparada a outras do mesmo estilo, e um desfecho comum e decifrável, pois antes mesmo de se desvendar o mistério você já soluciona os casos e descobre quem é o Serial Killer.
Então fica a dica, não gaste o seu dinheiro indo ao cinema para assistir esse filme, a não ser que você esteja disposto a ficar sentado uma hora e quarenta para assistir um produto sem inovação.
